chau doc... gateway to the mekong delta

Not much to report here. Chau Doc was a HUGE disappointment. Apparently it's off the itinerary for next year and we can all see why. The hotel was one of the most budget we've been to and it's obviously just a place for people to catch the boat from vietnam to cambodia.

We spent all day on the bus getting there and most of the day the next day getting to phnom penh... when we could have just taken a 6 hour bus from HCMC to Phnom Penh.
